How to access and participate in our courses
How do your online courses work?
Each of our courses offer quality multimedia content that can be completed anytime from any device wherever you may be.
As part of offering a personalised learning experience, we have integrated a one-hour live virtual session per module. It is not a requirement to attend as we know it can be difficult to balance work/life/study, however we do encourage attendance. But don’t stress if you can’t make it, as we post recordings of the session afterwards.
We also offer moderated forums encouraging learners to share their experiences and hear more from our mentors. Feedback has indicated that learners have enjoyed interacting during these sessions and watching them if they can’t be in attendance. The virtual sessions are typically held during office hours (Australian Eastern Time).

Can I do the course at my own pace or are there set times?
You can definitely learn at your own pace. We run live sessions at specified times where you can ask the mentors questions and engage in discussions with your peers. The self-paced learning coupled with a participatory approach facilitates the absorption of the content and helps maximise the overall learning experience. Live sessions are recorded and posted on the platform soon after.
How much time will the course take up?
Each course varies, but it usually takes 3-4 hours per module: 2-3 hours to complete the online course content and an hour-long virtual session.
How can I get help when I am stuck on an activity or having technical issues?
We have online mentors who can respond to your content-related questions and support staff who can promptly help you address technical issues.
Am I able to ask specific questions from my workplace?
Yes. The virtual sessions are the perfect opportunity to ask questions about how to apply what you are learning to your work. And our courses also provide you with the opportunity to apply your area of learning to an initiative/program/project from your work.
What if I’m not working in this area yet - are your courses right for me?
Absolutely. Most of our courses are designed for both beginners and those already working in the field. We clearly state any pre-requirement (skills and/or experience) on our detailed course pages. If you don’t have a real project from your work, we have case studies and examples that you can use instead.
What device should I be using to complete the courses?
To have the best learning experience, we highly recommend using a PC or laptop when participating in our weekly virtual sessions and when completing your project work in your workbooks.
These sessions are interactive and require the use of virtual whiteboards, polling, break-out rooms, PowerPoint templates, editable PDF files etc. all of which are best accessed via a computer. If you’d prefer to use a mobile device to access the learning content, weekly course learning materials and discussion boards are all mobile enabled.

What software do you use for your virtual sessions?
We are currently using Zoom for our virtual sessions. Please click here to download the software. Please ensure that you have the latest version installed.
How will I know when the virtual sessions for my course are held?
Upon successful enrolment, you will receive an email with calendar invites for the virtual sessions. Typically, the sessions are held on Thursday afternoons during Australian Eastern Time business hours.
What happens if I can’t attend a virtual session?
Recordings of all virtual sessions are made available on the learning platform within two hours of the session concluding. Missing out on a live session won't compromise your ability to achieve the desired learning outcomes.
If you have a question for the virtual session, please email your question to the support mentor for the course or post it on the discussion board and we will ensure the response will be captured in the recording so you don’t miss out!
What do I get if I complete the course?
You will receive a certificate of completion once you have finished all the course modules.
How long do I have access to the course materials?
You will retain access to the course materials for 6 months from the course start date (12 months for the Complete Guide to MEL course). In this time, feel free to download and/or screenshot content to save for your future records. If you wish to receive the certificate of completion, you will need to have completed the course within 1 month of the course conclusion date.
Do I need to complete the module learning prior to attending the virtual session
It is not mandatory, however it's highly recommended to ensure you get the most out of the virtual. Group activities and practical exercises will take place during the virtual session.
